-sliced rhubarb -sugar -water

Add rhubarb, sugar, and water to a saucepan. 

Bring the entire mixture to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.

Let the mixture simmer until the rhubarb becomes soft and the liquid takes a vibrant, red hue.

Stir occasionally to ensure all of the sugar dissolves.

once rhubarb is thoroughly cooked down (about 20-30 minutes), strain with a fine mesh strainer capturing syrup
